Responsibilities

Lead and perform installation, programming, inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm, suppression, and life safety systems
Mentor, train, and oversee junior technicians to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards
Ensure all systems are compliant with NFPA codes, state regulations, and industry best practices
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues on fire alarm and suppression systems
Serve as the lead contact for customers on service jobs, providing technical expertise and recommendations
Prepare and review service reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and customers to ensure timely and efficient project execution
Support continued improvement by providing feedback on system performance and customer needs
Maintain NICET certification and participate in ongoing training

Required

Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in field service engineering, with a focus on complex technical solutions
Strong technical knowledge and expertise in fire protection systems and relevant technologies
Experience in driving process improvements and implementing best practices
Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to fire safety systems
Knowledge of relevant codes and regulations pertaining to fire safety and protection
NICET Level I or II Certification or the ability to obtain it within 90 days

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred
Strong leadership and mentoring skills
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated with industry advancements
Results-oriented approach and ability to drive projects to successful completion
