$60/hr - $66.38/hrMDA Edge is seeking a Senior DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and deploy secure, scalable Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions in AWS GovCloud. The role involves collaborating with Security and Compliance teams to ensure compliant environments and optimizing cloud infrastructure performance.

Responsibilities
Design and optimize secure, high-performance VDI environments in regulated cloud regions
Develop and maintain scalable IaC templates using Terraform (Pulumi experience is a plus)
Ensure cloud infrastructure reliability, performance, and regulatory compliance
Collaborate with Security, IT, and Compliance teams to align architecture with organizational standards
Document architecture, processes, and configurations for team knowledge and scalability
Drive continuous improvements in deployments, monitoring, and automation
Qualification
Required
Senior-level experience in DevOps or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering (Level 4)
Expertise in Terraform for managing cloud environments
Strong background in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Proven experience delivering secure, production-grade cloud systems
Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams
Preferred
Hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud deployments
Familiarity with Pulumi IaC frameworks
Experience with VDI solutions in regulated sectors like government, defense, healthcare, or finance
Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, NIST 800-171, or DFARS
Strong technical writing and communication abilities for documentation and cross-team collaboration
