Universal Orlando Resort is seeking an Analyst for Financial Planning & Analysis at Universal Kids Resort. This highly analytical role involves providing business analytics and ad hoc analyses to support various business needs, including sales and strategic analysis.

Responsibilities

Produces and analyzes ongoing reporting for the organization including development, production and distribution of sales/outlook reports. Submits regular updates to the annual operating plan as part of the corporate financial planning deliverables due to the New Ventures Corporate Finance team

Creates ad hoc analytics to assist in supporting business needs. This includes sales/program analysis, optimization, competitive industry, tracking analysis, and strategic analysis requested by the business. Presents analysis and findings in a clear and logical manner with strategic recommendations. Creates and defines the key metrics used to better analyze the business and its needs

Assists in creating and analyzing Financial Reports, Profit & Loss Statements, Business Cases and Pro Formas

Forecasts key metrics based on current trends in business and in the industry/economy

Assists in the annual operating plan for the upcoming year utilizing trends and meeting business goals

Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities

Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Strong experience in data mining and querying in relational database systems such as MS Access and writing code in Structured Query Language (SQL) a plus

Expert knowledge in Excel including complex formulas and charts

Proficient knowledge in forecasting, scenario analysis, key metrics, and trending

Proficient knowledge of Mathematical and Statistics

Presentational and professional speaking skills to communicate closely with Executive level management including Directors, Vice Presidents, and Chief Financial Officer

Bachelors' degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required

3+ years of experience in a competitive analytical field required; or equivalent combination of education and experience
