Responsibilities

Use AutoCAD electrical and other CADD software to create detailed electrical drawings for power distribution systems, controls, and lighting products and systems
Process and manipulate large sets of data in Excel
Must possess a basic understanding and design capabilities of electrical distribution systems 600V and lower
Effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to align technical work with project objectives while fostering strong, productive working relationships

Required

Education: two-year technical certificate or equivalent experience/coursework directly related to electrical design
Software: experience with current versions of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software
Driver's license: possession of a current, valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by Barr, now or in the future
Technical knowledge: use AutoCAD electrical and other CADD software to create detailed electrical drawings for power distribution systems, controls, and lighting products and systems
Process and manipulate large sets of data in Excel
Must possess a basic understanding and design capabilities of electrical distribution systems 600V and lower
Interpersonal savvy: effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to align technical work with project objectives while fostering strong, productive working relationships

Preferred

1–3 years of experience working in a design capacity on projects directly related to the job responsibilities described above at a consulting engineering or industrial organization
Experience with power system modeling software such as SKM
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or Autodesk Revit
