5+ years expConservation X Labs (CXL) is seeking a Project Management Consultant to join their South America team to support the design phase of a philanthropic Fund aimed at addressing tropical forest loss due to fire. The consultant will be responsible for developing and executing project plans, managing project activities, and ensuring timely administrative and financial operations.

Responsibilities
Lead the development of a project plan and manage that plan towards milestones and deliverables
Lead and organize regular team check-ins and meetings, as appropriate to advance the plan, and in close coordination with the CEO
Ensure timely, compelling, and accurate reporting
As directed, advance actions in alignment with approved project plan
Onboard new team members and partners, including through an orientation set of materials, videos or other recordings, and meetings
Maintain critical project files in a well-organized, accessible system consistent with CXL’s document retention policy
Regularly seek efficiency gains in how the team operates, including through use of technology
Support accounting and financial management, working closely with CXL’s Director of Finance
Provide executive-level briefings and reports on project progress, risks, and opportunities and trends
Document and communicate decisions, actions and responsibilities, and regularly check-in with team members to identify and mitigate risks
Support executive needs by completing administrative and organizational tasks proactively and with excellence
Coordinate with partners, ensuring their deliverables are on track, mitigating delays and risks, and effective communication and collaboration across organizations
Providing internal scheduling support, preparation of meeting agendas, and related follow up with key stakeholders
Qualification
Required
You must have the ability to commute at least three days a week to our office in Washington, DC. We have team members distributed across the globe, but prioritize in-person connection which fuels our work in innovation
Fluency in English, Spanish
Project Management Professional certification or equivalent expertise
At least five years of project management experience
Highly skilled at using project management software (e.g. Asana, Airtable, Jira)
Excellent written skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
Preferred
Fluency in Portuguese
Experience in South America
Experience with forestry, biodiversity, or related fields
