First Citizens Bank has an incredible opportunity for a Sales Support Specialist (Commercial Lending Assistant). This role is an integral part of our team, partnering with Commercial and/or Business Banking groups in the sales, servicing and management of clients and loan portfolios.

Responsibilities

Provide ongoing sales support to Lenders, including identifying sales and cross sell opportunities, coordinating materials for presentations, setting up sales calls, maintaining prospect lists, and making joint calls as needed
Originates, processes, and ensures accuracy of loan documentation for closings. This includes entering financial information into the loan system and ensuring that all necessary documentation is included in the loan package prior to closing
Resolving documentation exception issues, maintaining service levels, updating financial statements, and preparing files for all portfolio reviews. Run reports to track maturing lines/loans and service levels
Communicate, report, and follow up on portfolio past dues to ensure they remain current, while maintaining customer contact
Coordinates opening of deposit and other banking services with branch partners. Handles customer requests for information and problem resolution

Required

High School Diploma or GED with 4 years experience in sales, customer service, or operations OR Bachelor's Degree with experience in sales, customer service, or operations
Must have 1+ years of experience supporting real estate lending (commercial or residential)
Strong working knowledge of loan processing and documentation
Strong working knowledge of escrows and/or titles
Strong working knowledge of clearing conditions
Strong working knowledge of coordinating closings
Must be highly organized and able to multitask effectively

Preferred

Construction lending experience is a big plus (draws, budgets, lien waivers, etc.)
Prior experience as a Bank Teller or Universal Banker
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Professional written and verbal communication skills
