Start in 2026 SummerWestern Reserve Group is seeking an Underwriting Intern to join their underwriting team during the summer of 2026. The internship aims to provide practical experience in underwriting while offering exposure to various departments within the insurance company.

Responsibilities
Assist underwriting team members with wide range of underwriting tasks
Job shadow with various underwriting team members and others throughout the organization
Work directly with AVP on key projects identified within the department
Qualification
Required
High School Degree
Enrolled in an accredited college / university
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
Excellent written and verbal skills
Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision
Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
Must be 18 years of age
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively and clearly communicate with agents, department and company personnel via telephone, fax, email, and one-on-one dialog, in a highly professional manner
Ability to apply common sense, understanding, reasoning, and sound educated judgment to properly evaluate and analyze situations
Preferred
Desire to learn and grow within the insurance industry
Involvement within on-campus activities
Display of leadership qualities
