Responsibilities
Directs others toward preparation of a professional, economical, and effective product for each individual project
Works closely with personnel from other departments as necessary to ensure fulfillment of contract requirements
Manages a project team and multiple projects
Manages contract budgets and estimates to completion and updates as conditions change. Communicates scope of work changes with clients, including project schedule and budget impacts, and requests client approval before authorizing or performing such out-of-scope work
Prepares project proposals including scope of work, time, and estimated manpower
Serves as a mentor and Supervisor (as assigned) for junior and mid-level staff
Maintains effective sales effort to achieve business development goals. Oversees productivity and performance of supervised staff. Works closely with Survey Division Director, Division Directors, Project Managers, the Marketing Director, and other staff to identify sales opportunities and to foster a culture of business development throughout the organization
Seeks and identifies new work associated with existing projects and clients. Cross-sells the services of other Divisions when the opportunity arises
Prepares project proposals including scope of work and schedules
Encouraged to take an active part in community affairs
Qualification
Required
Minimum of bachelor's degree in Surveying Engineering (or equivalent)
Minimum of ten years of surveying experience
Ability to and interest in managing projects
A working knowledge of modern survey techniques, and computer programs is required
Registration as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) in Florida, or ability to attain within 6 months, is required
Valid driver's license & reliable transportation required
