Responsibilities
Manage and oversee high-voltage substation construction projects, including new builds and retrofits
Lead project execution from kickoff through closeout
Implement division business plans and project strategies
Coordinate with upper management, engineering, field teams, and external partners
Lead, coach, and mentor project teams and field personnel
Manage schedules, budgets, resources, and project risk
Identify project-critical needs and proactively resolve issues
Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners
Support business development efforts and help grow substation clientele
Travel to project sites as needed (up to 20%)
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum 10 years of experience in high-voltage utility substations or substation construction
Demonstrated success managing substation projects from start to finish
Strong leadership skills with experience managing mobile project teams
Proven ability to drive operational, customer, and financial excellence
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including building spreadsheets and tracking project data
Ability to identify critical project needs and implement effective solutions
Willingness to travel outside of Utah up to 20% of the time
Preferred
BS or BA in Electrical Engineering
PMP certification
Experience contributing to business growth and winning new projects
