Responsibilities

Manage your own caseload from inception to resolution

Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests while adhering to deadlines

Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials

Engage closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to devise effective litigation strategies

Provide clients with updates and interim written reports on their cases

Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare memoranda to bolster case strategies

Work alongside partners and senior attorneys to ensure seamless case management

Required

A Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the New York State Bar are essential prerequisites

Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions, along with the ability to perform legal research and respond to discovery requests, is crucial

You should be a self-starter with strong advocacy skills

Taking and defending fact witness and expert depositions will also be part of your role, making attention to detail and effective communication key attributes for success in this position
