Responsibilities
Propose network redesign based on client hardware guidelines, network policies and individual sites’ unique characteristics
Create and Configure VDCs and VLANs
Configuration and installation of Routers, Firewalls, Switches, Wireless Access Points, SD-WAN and other network equipment
Design of WAN, LAN, and wireless network infrastructure
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto, Cisco (Meraki, ASA, Catalyst)
Create, configure, and manage VPN tunnels
Working knowledge of provisioning and ordering circuits
Decommissioning and consolidating networks
Creating IP Subnet strategy for IT environments
Configuring Quality of Service best practices
Mapped, Network Diagrams and physical identification in MS Visio
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree preferred
5 or more years of Network Infrastructure experience
Working knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies
Understanding of SD-WAN routing and equipment
MPLS knowledge
Some project management experience
Understanding of subnetting
Understanding of VLAN creation and access
Firewall configuration, agnostic of branding
Switch configuration experience
Understanding of VPN authentication and security, both IPSec and SSL
General understanding of server engineering and administration
Soft skills are very important
Preferred
Cisco CCNA/CCNP route/switch certifications preferred
Previous consulting experience and strong soft skills (active listening, problem solving, conflict resolution, etc.)
