Product Operational Specialist

Responsibilities

Own the post-release operational lifecycle of Plumb’s proprietary technology features as they relate to accounting, reporting, and bill pay
Translate product capabilities into clear accounting workflows, operating procedures, and internal standards
Determine readiness for rollout, client sequencing, and internal adoption
Establish interim accounting processes when automation is not yet fully mature
Continuously simplify workflows as product capabilities expand
Coordinate internal and client-facing rollout plans for new platform capabilities
Orchestrate training schedules, audiences, materials, and timing (you coordinate; others may deliver)
Define what successful adoption looks like for each release and ensure teams reach it
Identify friction points early and adjust workflows, training, or sequencing accordingly
Retire legacy manual processes as product usage stabilizes
Lead client setup related to reporting modules, including Chart of Accounts mapping to Plumb’s standardized structures
Prioritize which clients move through reporting and platform transitions first
Work directly with clients and internal teams to ensure accurate financial alignment
Maintain consistency of reporting structures across entities, accounts, and systems
Ensure accounting accuracy and control standards are upheld throughout platform usage
Oversee the operational execution of financial account integrations supported by Plumb’s platform
Maintain visibility into supported institutions and integration readiness
Guide clients and internal teams through connection and validation processes
Incorporate integrations into onboarding and ongoing service workflows
Prioritize activation based on impact, complexity, and client readiness
Serve as the connective layer between accounting operations, product development, and executive leadership
Translate operational performance and adoption data into concise, decision-ready insights
Provide recommendations on prioritization, sequencing, and operational risk
Bring clarity, structure, and accountability to complex, cross-functional initiatives

Required

Strong experience in accounting and reporting, ideally with family office / UHNW bill pay and expense-side accounting
A genuine passion for process, clarity, and adoption—you enjoy turning change into routine
Process-driven mindset with comfort operating between systems and people
Strong judgment around prioritization, sequencing, and trade-offs
Comfortable partnering with product and engineering teams without being software-centric
Bachelor's degree required
2+ years of accounting, accounting operations, or related experience
Experience (or ability) to work in a high-growth business environment
Business mindset and understanding of their role here at Plumb
Problem-solving mindset, tackles problems with possible solutions
Extremely proactive and able to work with a sense of urgency
Proactive, detail-oriented, and motivated by enabling others to succeed
