Sales Development Representative - REMOTE

ACLED is a company focused on corporate licensing and data solutions, and they are seeking a Sales Development Representative to generate and qualify new business opportunities. This role involves outbound prospecting, early-stage client engagement, and pipeline development to support corporate licensing revenue growth.

Responsibilities

Identify, research, and prioritize target corporate accounts across agreed sectors, geographies, and use cases
Execute structured outbound prospecting via email, LinkedIn, phone, and other appropriate channels
Manage and respond to inbound corporate licensing inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Build a strong understanding of ACLED’s data, products, and commercial use cases to effectively engage prospects
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activity and interactions in the CRM systems
Conduct initial discovery conversations to understand prospect needs, use cases, and decision-making processes
Qualify opportunities against agreed internal criteria and assess commercial potential
Clearly and confidently communicate ACLED’s value proposition and differentiate it from alternative data providers
Book qualified meetings and hand off opportunities to the Head of Corporate Licensing or other senior sales team members
Support early-stage deal progression through follow-ups and coordination where appropriate
Meet or exceed clearly defined KPIs related to outreach activity, meetings booked, and pipeline contribution
Manage time and priorities effectively in a remote working environment
Track performance and conversion metrics to support continuous improvement
Take ownership of individual targets and contribute to overall corporate licensing revenue goals
Work closely with the Head of Corporate Licensing to align prospecting efforts with broader sales strategy and priorities
Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to leverage campaigns, content, and events for lead generation
Coordinate with Analysis and Data teams to ensure accurate and responsible positioning of ACLED’s data
Provide feedback on market trends, prospect objections, and competitive dynamics

Qualification

Required

1–3 years of experience in sales development, business development, or a similar commercial role (B2B preferred)
Highly motivated and growth oriented
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
Comfortable working to targets and being measured against clear performance KPIs
Organized, proactive, and well suited to work effectively in a remote setting

Preferred

Interest in global affairs, political risk, security, ESG, or data-driven decision-making is an advantage
Experience using CRM systems and sales engagement tools is desirable
