Responsibilities
Define and enforce architecture blueprints for Hive schemas, Spark configurations, and Kafka topics
Own and maintain the Big Data reference architecture and design playbooks
Lead architecture and design reviews to prevent technical debt
Optimize Hadoop ecosystem performance, storage, and resource utilization
Implement tiered storage, data lifecycle, and retention strategies
Design cloud-ready, decoupled architectures for future migration
Establish multi-tenant governance, quotas, and security standards
Qualification
Required
Expert-level Hadoop experience (Cloudera/Hortonworks stack)
Strong hands-on knowledge of Hive LLAP, YARN, HDFS
Deep experience with Spark (Core/SQL) and Kafka
Experience with Apache Ranger and Apache Atlas
Proven ability to define and roll out enterprise design standards
Ability to influence senior leadership
Strong communication and architectural guidance skills
Experience working across multiple engineering teams
