Harmar is a leading manufacturer of mobility and accessibility solutions, and they are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Manager to strengthen and advance their safety culture. The role involves leading safety initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement in safety performance across two manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs, policies, and training across both of our facilities

Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes to ensure the safety program remains current and effective

Ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and local safety regulations; prepare for and lead all inspections and audits

Conduct regular site safety assessments and risk analyses

Lead investigations into safety incidents, near misses, and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence

Provide safety training for employees on policies, regulations and procedures

Track key safety metrics (TRIR, DART, near misses, etc.) and present findings to leadership

Partner with Operations, HR, and Engineering to identify hazards and implement corrective actions

Promote and drive a strong safety culture through communication, training initiatives and continuous awareness campaigns

Lead emergency response planning, including drills and documentation

Maintain all safety-related records, reports, and compliance documentation
