Senior Autonomous Systems Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

Design and build subsystem/hardware/software for our aircraft systems
Define subsystem requirements and specifications
Prepare and create schematics, engineering drawings, test plans/procedures, data reports, presentations and work instructions
Collaborate with mechanical, GNC, manufacturing, aerodynamic, procurement, quality assurance, and project/program management teams
Communicate engineering findings to technical and non-technical individuals
Mentor other engineers, providing technical guidance and support, as well as constructive feedback
Demonstrate and encourage adherence to best practices and standard procedures

Required

Proven understanding of Electrical Engineering principles
7+ years of hands-on experience with electrical components and systems
Ability to architect and design electrical/electromechanical systems
Demonstrated skills in troubleshooting, validating/testing, and analyzing subsystems/systems
Experience in documenting designs and analyses with written reports, presentations, and engineering drawings
Ability to design using CAD software such as Altium
Proven communication and interpersonal skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years progressive experience
It is an essential requirement for the person in this role to have a legal right to work in the United States and be eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization and DoD Clearance

Preferred

Experience in designing robotic and/or aircraft systems
UAV experience highly desired
Hands-on experience with microcontrollers and firmware/software
Experience in small to medium sized teams in an R&D environment
Familiar with MIL spec hardware and harnessing standards
