Responsibilities
Perform field testing of concrete, mortar, grout, and other cementitious materials on active construction sites
Conduct compaction testing in the field, including use of Nuclear Density Gauge equipment
Perform laboratory testing of soils and construction materials at our Columbus laboratory
Accurately prepare daily materials testing reports that are clear, complete, and well-organized
Communicate daily with the Laboratory Manager, Project Inspectors, and Project Managers regarding test results and site conditions
Maintain testing equipment and follow established safety and quality procedures
Perform additional duties as assigned to support project and laboratory operations
Qualification
Required
General math proficiency required to successfully complete certification exams
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (equipment provided to assist with heavier materials)
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and safety
Preferred
One or more years of construction materials testing experience preferred for experienced-level candidates
Certifications such as ODOT, NICET, Asphalt, or ACI Concrete Field Testing are preferred but not required
