Hexcel Corporation is a global leader in advanced composites technology and is seeking a Quality Engineering Intern for their Kent, WA location. The selected individual will support risk evaluation, process monitoring activities, and assist Quality Engineers with various obligations related to composite manufacturing improvements and quality inspection activities.

Responsibilities

Support risk evaluation, risk mitigation and process monitoring activities utilizing Data Analysis, Process monitoring, Process control, and Continuous Process Improvement

Assist Quality Engineers with Corrective Action Systems

Identify and implement composite manufacturing improvements

Quality inspection activities

Engineering lab work using basic hand tools

Collect, analyze and summarize data and create basic test reports given an example format

Perform assigned tasks on schedule within budgeted hours

Supply visibility to management of potential problems

Required

Enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program with minimum of 2 years completed at an accredited college or university in Engineering or other related field with curriculum such as: Statics, Dynamics, Strength of Materials, Calculus, or Statistics

3.0 GPA or higher

Ability to multi task effectively within a team environment in managing priorities

Passionate about aerospace, manufacturing and innovation

Ability to work independently, learn new tasks/handle multiple tasks, solve problems, meet deadlines, and show strong self-motivation and initiative

Excellent communication skills (oral & written)

Proficient use of, MS-Excel, MS-Word and MS-Power Point

Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
