Responsibilities

Able to communicate directly with clients

Plan, conceptualize, and create HVAC mechanical designs for new and retrofit buildings/projects in the mission critical environment

Duct design/piping design experience

Central plant cooling design

Perform typical HVAC engineering calculations to support design work

Create technical drawings, plans, and specifications (using computer software)

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors

Ensure project timelines are met and project stays within budget

Able to travel to project sites

Qualification

Mechanical Engineering DegreeHVAC Design ExperienceAutoCAD ProficiencyRevit ProficiencyEIT/PE CertificationMechanical Engineering SoftwareEffective CommunicationSelf-Motivated

Required

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering

10+ years (min) of experience working for a design engineering firm including some Mission Critical (data center) design experience

Firm grasp of engineering concepts including theoretical and practical applications for HVAC Systems

Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office programs

Knowledge and familiarity in use of mechanical engineering software such as but not limited to heat loss/gain calcs, pipe-flo, CFD modeling, etc

Ability to communicate effectively and clearly to jr staff for project development

Must be self-motivated and know project design steps/requirements

Preferred

EIT/PE a plus
