Responsibilities
Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, LLCs, S-Corporations, and C-Corporations
Participate in tax planning and advisory engagements for businesses and high-net-worth individuals
Review engagement work to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to internal quality standards
Collaborate with senior team members to manage engagement timelines and resolve complex tax matters
Conduct tax research and analyze technical issues to support filing positions and planning strategies
Maintain ongoing communication with clients to deliver timely, high-quality service
Stay informed on current tax regulations, compliance requirements, and legislative changes
Assist with workflow coordination, billing responsibilities, and engagement documentation
Provide guidance and support to junior staff as needed
Build professional relationships through networking and industry involvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Minimum of 3 years of tax experience within a public accounting environment
Strong background in corporate and individual tax compliance
Experience with multi-state filings and consolidated returns
Familiarity with tax planning strategies for closely held businesses and affluent clients
Ability to manage multiple engagements independently while meeting deadlines
Strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Preferred
CPA license preferred but not required (support for licensure available)
Prior experience reviewing work or mentoring staff is a plus
