AM Process Engineer III
Blue Origin is working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems. The AM Process Engineer III will enable new spaceflight designs by supporting the production of Metallic Additively Manufactured components, focusing on process development and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Understand the AM value stream from start to finish including printing, post processing, thermal processing, and inspection
Research, onboard and production harden new processes and equipment to increase quality, efficiency, and reduce overall cost of the AM work center
Lead root cause analysis of issues with machines and manufacturing to then work with operations, maintenance, and outside vendors to implement solutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or higher in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or a related technical field
Experience authoring and developing manufacturing processes to improve end product
Proven background in the troubleshooting of industrial processes and/or equipment using root cause analysis
Experience working in aerospace or similar fields requiring a quality management system or adhering to industry specifications
4+ years of professional experience with 3D printing, castings, forgings, and/or welding
Preferred
Experience with fabrication methods (i.e.. machining, sheet metal, carbon fiber manufacturing, riveting, heat treatment, etc.)
5+ years of experience in aerospace, medical device manufacturing, or a related field
Experience with quality management (i.e.. AS9100 or ISO 9001)
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
