Emergency Operations Plan Program Manager
Texas State University is seeking an Emergency Operations Plan Program Manager for their Texas School Safety Center. This role involves overseeing the review and verification of emergency operations plans for K-12 districts and community colleges, while also collaborating across divisions to enhance school safety practices.

Responsibilities
Expand the capabilities of the TxSSC and assist with the oversight of a comprehensive review and verification process for emergency operations plans in accordance with the Texas Education Code
Ensure the latest best practices in school safety and emergency operations planning are integrated into all systems developed by the TxSSC
Supervise a team of 10+ specialists under the leadership of the Associate Director of School Safety Readiness
Play an integral part of furthering the mission of the TxSSC and work collaboratively with the Training and Education and Information Technology divisions to develop training and resources that will assist school districts with successfully meeting school safety compliance measures
Assist with the planning, designing, and managing of a systematic process for project workflows and developing continuous improvement strategies
Work under strict timelines and perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the Center
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in emergency management or a master's degree in education administration with a current Texas principal license
At least 5 years of demonstrated experience working in local, state, or federal government emergency management or, emergency preparedness in a Texas public education work environment
At least 3 years of demonstrated experience supervising staff in a government emergency management or public education emergency preparedness work environment
Demonstrated experience in creating and facilitating trainings for adult audiences of varying levels of emergency preparedness experience
Demonstrated experience in meeting organizational deadlines related to complex, time sensitive, regulatory compliance
Demonstrated strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Completion of IS 100, IS 200, IS 235, IS 700, IS 800, IS 360, IS 362 (Please note that you must submit copies of your course certificates when submitting your application to be considered for an interview)
Preferred
Master's degree in emergency management
One or more of the following: IAEM Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), IAEM Associate Emergency Manager (AEM), ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP), ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP), or PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) credential
Demonstrated experience with the development and review of independent school district, open-enrollment charter school, or public junior college emergency operation plans
Demonstrated experience in developing and facilitating virtual trainings
Demonstrated experience in developing on-demand audio/visual resources
Demonstrated experience in using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
