Responsibilities
Prepares sleeves for installation in flexographic printing presses and is responsible for quality/productivity associated with materials processed through assigned machinery
In this position, the employee is responsible for the preparation of sleeves for installation in flexographic printing presses
Position entails mounting photopolymer plates onto sleeves and proofing
Notify management whenever equipment is found to be malfunctioning, damaged, or in need of repair
Maintain production and quality standards as set forth by supervision
Organizes workflow for smooth operation
Makes necessary adjustments and monitors equipment so that product complies with work order
Lifts and places printing sleeves of specified size on mounter-proofing machine
Measures and sets cameras used as guides for alignment of printing plates
Applies cushion backing to sleeve to prep for plate mounting
Maneuvers plate on sleeve for proper position according to job specifications
Checks plates versus supplied proofs to verify accuracy
Strip used sleeves, clean and file
Record meters run for wear tracking
Adhere to safety policies and procedures in compliance with American Fuji Seal’s guidelines
Visually inspects the facility for tripping hazards, equipment safeguards and helps to maintain a clean work environment
Qualification
Required
Being mechanically inclined is essential
Possesses strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to exercise independent decision-making in a demanding environment
Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally with all levels of the organization
Ability to focus on goals, metrics, and results
Self-starters who take ownership and accountability for themselves and the department
Uses resources efficiently, effectively, and in a timely manner
Must demonstrate an open and growth mindset, embracing change, stepping out of the comfort zone, and applying creativity in generating ideas and solutions

Ability to perform duties with minimal direction and be self-motivated
Adhere to safety policies and procedures in compliance with American Fuji Seal's guidelines

Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling are required
Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force to move objects
The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing computer and working within arm's reach
The worker may be subject to hazards: proximity to moving forklift and stored chemicals
