The State of Michigan is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the Project Management Office for the Michigan Department of Treasury and Michigan Gaming Control Board, leading a multi-year ERP modernization initiative.

Responsibilities
Lead global ERP project management efforts (Oracle/SAP) for initiatives exceeding $750M budgets and teams of 20+ members
Utilize State of Michigan’s Project Portfolio Management Tool (Clarity) for scheduling, resource assignment, and budget management
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules (5,000+ lines), and integration timelines
Monitor and control project progress, managing cost, scope, resources, quality, and risks
Prepare executive-level presentations and status reports
Enforce SUITE Project Management Methodology (PMM) and System Engineering Methodology (SEM)
Manage change requests, risk and issue logs, and corrective action plans
Oversee vendor deliverables and ensure compliance with contracts
Facilitate communication among stakeholders and ensure timely completion of deliverables
Qualification
Required
10+ years ERP Project Management experience (Oracle/SAP), leading large-scale global projects
7+ years IT project management experience with industry best practices
Proven record of delivering projects on time and within budget
Experience managing budgets, schedules, change requests, risk/issue logs
5+ years experience with project portfolio management tools (e.g., Clarity) and advanced MS Project skills
Experience in multi-vendor environments and government projects
Prior developer or senior technical project management background
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred
PMP Certification (or equivalent recognized project management credential)
