They are seeking a Civil/ Environmental/ Geotechnical Engineer to provide engineering support, assist with project management, and perform fieldwork related to mine projects.

Responsibilities
Provide Civil/Environmental engineering support in the following areas:
Engineering design for mine waste and water engineering projects
Preparation and review of construction cost estimates
Preparation and review of reclamation cost estimates
Assist with project management of technical deliverables, scheduling and budgets
Assist with preparation of permitting applications
Perform field work, such as geotechnical investigations, engineering oversight during construction and manage QA/QC activities on mine-related earthworks
Work collaboratively with other technical specialists
Develop and maintain client relationships
Qualification
Required
An undergraduate degree in civil, geotechnical/geological or mining engineering
A minimum of 5 years experience, preferably in the mining industry or engineering consulting
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision
Strong inter-personal and communication skills, including writing skills
Working knowledge Word, and Excel
Preferred
Registered EIT or PE preferred, or ability to obtain certification
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software, AutoCAD, GIS, slope stability and/or hydrologic analyses and software programs, is desirable
