Due Diligence (KYC) Coordinator
CFGI is currently hiring for a Due Diligence (KYC) Coordinator to support one of their largest private equity clients. The role involves completing KYC and AML processes while ensuring compliance with various regulations and collaborating with multiple teams to maintain consistency in documentation and information.

Responsibilities
Coordinate with administrators to update and validate investing entity documentation, including investor questionnaires, FATCA/CRS self-certifications, and any required closing deliverables, ensuring compliance with current fund requirements
Assemble and maintain a standard KYC/AML package (e.g., corporate certificates, organizational charts/ultimate beneficial ownership (“UBO”) diagrams, signatory lists, proof of address, IDs, authorized traders, source-of-funds/wealth attestations) and tailor for jurisdiction-specific requirements (US, UK, EU, APAC)
Coordinate KYC responses with fund administrators: sanctions/PEP/adverse media declarations, beneficial ownership disclosures, and attestations; manage follow-ups, exceptions, and clarifications
Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to prepare AML/KYC letters outlining the firm’s due diligence framework and detailing the investing entity’s ultimate beneficial ownership structure
Maintain a central repository of approved templates, legal entities, UBO charts, reference letters, LEIs, GIINs, tax residency certificates, and standing answers to DDQs/operational questionnaires
Monitor and implement changes tied to AML/KYC regulations, FATCA/CRS, beneficial ownership regimes and fund-specific policies; update KYC Guides and SOPs accordingly
Deliver detailed bi-weekly KYC progress updates to clients to support timely resolution of outstanding requests
Willingness to work flexible hours and monitor emails outside of normal work hours
Initiate processes with financial institutions globally by providing a Standard KYC Package for the purposes of opening trading, brokerage, custodian and/or escrow account(s)
Initiate processes with financial institutions globally by providing a Standard KYC Package for the purpose of establishing financing and/or hedging arrangements
Liaise directly with banks on completing bank specific KYC Forms, CRS Forms and answering KYC/AML questions related to investment structure and ultimate beneficial ownership
Coordinate with Legal Team on the review and approval of legal documents including escrow agreements, brokerage agreements, trading agreements and/or other bank specific consent forms
Coordinate with Compliance Team on completing Sanction, Anti-Money Laundering and Customer Due Diligence questionnaires
Coordinate with Financial Advisor(s) on completing MiFID, EMIR and ISDA documentation
Coordinate with Tax Team on reviewing FATCA/CRS Forms as needed
Obtain Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) and renew LEI records as needed
Request legal entity constitutive documents from Registered Agents and Entity Administrators related to KYC/AML requests
Outside of routine KYC requests, this position may support completing various ad hoc or annual regulatory KYC requests. This position will coordinate with FM/external service providers to provide constitutive documents, draft required forms, and confirm investment/legal entity details and/or ultimate beneficial ownership information. The following is a sample of the type of regulatory KYC requests this position may support: Inquiries from the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (AIFM), the Financial Services Commission in Mauritius (FSC), local/national tax offices or bureaus (ATO, PN7), and foreign Securities and Exchange boards (SEBI, RBI, PN3)
