Accounting Operations Specialist

Vesta, Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounting Operations Specialist to support the accurate processing, reconciliation, and reporting of financial transactions across the organization. This role is essential to maintaining compliance, supporting audits, and ensuring strong financial controls.

Responsibilities

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoices, deposits, and vendor inquiries
Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations in Microsoft Business Central
Process journal entries, accruals, and reallocations
Manage organizational credit card transactions and expense allocations
Review financial and Power BI reports, identify discrepancies, and correct errors
Support HUD, SSA, IRS, and state compliance requirements, including annual 1099 processing
Assist with internal and external audits
Provide professional customer service and respond to internal and external inquiries
Participate in finance meetings, trainings, and ongoing compliance activities

Required

Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
3–5 years of accounting operations experience
Strong working knowledge of AP, AR, and reconciliations
Knowledge of GAAP and IRS reporting requirements (including 1099s)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Business Central, Power BI, and Excel
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively across teams
Valid driver's license, clear driving record, and reliable transportation
Background check and drug screening required
