Responsibilities

Visit active job sites to observe digging activities and ensure all safety procedures are followed
Work directly with homeowners, contractors, and utility crews to promote safe digging practices
Learn to identify and mark underground utility lines using company tools and technology
Assist in verifying and updating utility line markings as needed
Maintain accurate records of site visits, communications, and activities using company tools
Perform routine checks to confirm marking accuracy and compliance with safety standards
Maintain assigned tools, equipment, and vehicle through regular care and upkeep
Respond to job site requests and support teammates during time-sensitive situations
Contribute to a safety-first culture by following best practices and working collaboratively with your team
Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor while growing in the role

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently in the field, problem-solve, and adapt to changing conditions on job sites
Valid driver's license

Preferred

Previous experience in utility location/damage prevention
Familiarity with 811 dig laws and safe excavation practices
