Zeal Credit Union is seeking a Full-Time Asset Recovery Coordinator to support members in resolving their account balances. The role involves overseeing collection efforts, providing credit analysis, and managing the repossession portfolio while ensuring effective recovery strategies.

Responsibilities

Support members in resolving their account balances
Engage with members in a respectful, understanding manner
Provide credit analysis and debt management counseling
Establish savings plans, minimize debt, or prevent collections action
Oversee collection efforts
Focus on innovative strategies to prevent foreclosure through forbearance and loan modifications
Manage the OREO property portfolio
Navigate complex issues related to bankruptcy, judgments, and levies
Maintain accurate reporting of recovery accounts
Manage the repossession portfolio
Prepare documentation for legal initiatives
Collaborate with team members to develop credit solutions
Keep meticulous records on delinquent accounts
Facilitate insurance claims for various loans
Seek optimal resolutions for both vendors and members

Required

1 to 3 years of similar or related experience
High school education or GED
Extensive knowledge of collection regulations including but not limited to: MLA, SCRA, FCRA, FDCPA, Bankruptcy Code
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite products
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent member service skills
Results oriented, with the ability to work independently
Punctuality and regular onsite attendance
