Oracle ERP Analyst/Accountant

The Culinary Institute of America is seeking an Oracle ERP Analyst/Accountant to join their Finance team. This role combines accounting expertise with Oracle ERP proficiency to ensure accurate financial data and efficient processes while acting as a liaison between Finance and IT.

Responsibilities

Configure, maintain, and optimize Oracle ERP modules to support evolving business requirements
Partner with IT and Finance teams to lead module expansions, integrations, and enhancement initiatives
Diagnose and resolve ERP-related issues efficiently to minimize operational disruptions
Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase efficiency
Develop, update, and manage comprehensive documentation for ERP processes and workflows
Deliver training and ongoing support to Finance team members, promoting effective use of Oracle ERP functionality
Serve as the primary resource for ERP-related inquiries, ensuring prompt and accurate responses
Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely resolution of discrepancies
Support internal audits of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with internal controls and organizational policies, and proactively recommend process improvements
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities to support strategic decision-making
Any and all other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree with a concentration in accounting, finance, or information systems
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Oracle ERP configuration and support
Minimum of eight (8) years of work-related experience in areas of accounting and finance
Proficiency in Oracle ERP modules
Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Must possess strong attention to detail
Must be a well-organized self-starter with good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team with all levels of the organization
Ability to perform multiple financial projects effectively simultaneously
Must be available to work nights and weekends as required due to business needs
Regular work requires a great deal of sitting and standing for extended periods
Regular work requires the use of a computer, sometimes in excess of eight (8) hours per day
