Departmental Analyst 9-12 - HSA Estate Recovery & Special Liability Section

Responsibilities
Conducting research and analysis on medical and legal evidence necessary to effectively operate the Third Party Liability (TPL) Estate Recovery program and other special liability recovery efforts
Preparing reports and correspondence seeking reimbursement of Medicaid expenditures from legally liable sources
Designing, implementing, and maintaining computer-based data collections related to Estate Recovery and Specialty Liability recoveries
Testing new TPL Electronic Database (TED) functions and providing enhancement recommendations
Developing and preparing recommendations on alternative State and departmental strategies to resolve issues regarding recovery actions
Providing consultation to and coordinate the DHHS Estate Recovery program with multiple State and Federal agencies
Assisting with the development of Unit protocols, reporting mechanisms, auditing methodology, and compliance measurements
Qualification
Required
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
Departmental Analyst 9: No specific type or amount of experience is required
Departmental Analyst 10: One year of professional experience
Departmental Analyst P11: Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service
Departmental Analyst 12: Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service
