Architectural Project Designer
Carrier Johnson + Culture (CJ+C) is a design firm focused on creativity and collaboration. As an Architectural Project Designer, you will execute innovative design projects, contribute to various phases of project development, and support junior designers while fostering client relationships.

Responsibilities
Contribute significantly to projects across concept development, schematic refinement, detailed design, construction documentation, and site administration
Offer technical and creative input, focusing on project coordination, production, and effective delivery
Foster seamless collaboration with internal and external teams, professional consultants, and strategic partners
Embrace an inside-out and outside-in design philosophy, contributing to iterative design processes with team members, using a wide variety of tools to communicate to the team and client, including hand sketching and 3d tools
Partner with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders to meet project goals
Assist in creating persuasive proposals and interview materials to pursue new project opportunities
Support and guide junior designers, contributing to multiple projects with high-quality outcomes while working with technical staff
Facilitate client interactions to deliver project goals and maintain positive engagement
Work closely with your team and across the firm to promote an interdisciplinary design approach, upholding CJ+C’s commitment to design excellence and technical innovation
Qualification
Required
Actively working towards Licensure, Registered Architect, a significant plus
Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture from an accredited university required
5+ years of relevant architecture and design experience, with a strong background in diverse project typologies and scales
Strong ability to communicate and present design concepts and their rationales
Skilled in addressing client needs, budget constraints, architectural opportunities, or challenges impacting design concepts
Knowledge of sustainable design principles and certifications
Skilled in Revit, + SketchUp, Enscape, and/or other modeling software and Adobe Creative Suite
Exceptional graphics and visualization skills to effectively convey design ideas
Strong ability to build collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with key stakeholders
