Responsibilities

Lead cutting-edge technical and techno-economic analyses for hydrogen refueling and electric vehicle charging infrastructure
Design and implement strategies that advance vehicle-grid integration and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) solutions across California
Develop and manage grant funding opportunities and agreements that support clean transportation innovation
Advise decision-makers with clear, data-driven insights that support California’s ambitious energy and climate goals
Build partnerships across state agencies, local governments, utilities, and the private sector
Mentor and support junior staff, strengthening technical expertise and team capacity
Play a key role in two high-visibility legislative reports: Senate Bill 643 Report and Assembly Bill 126 Report

Preferred

Knowledge of alternative fuel vehicles, engines, and fueling infrastructures
Knowledge of transportation market evaluation methods and factors
Knowledge of current private sector and public policy related to environmental issues in the alternative transportation fuels, technologies and infrastructure development area
Knowledge of economic cost-effectiveness, cost-benefit, and quantitative analysis methodologies
Ability to make effective presentations and interact effectively with both internal staff and external regulatory agencies
Ability to interact will all levels of technical staff, management and Commissioners
Ability to assume a lead position in a team atmosphere related to environmental issues resolution
Excellent analytical and report writing skills and the ability to reason logically and creatively while utilizing a variety of analytical techniques
Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate ideas and thoughts effectively with a large diverse technical staff
Excellent interpersonal skills, including a proven ability to work in a team atmosphere under pressure effectively, as well as independently and at own initiative
