Business Development Lead- Dallas

Mid, Senior LevelAltCap is a mission-driven CDFI dedicated to expanding access to affordable and flexible capital for underestimated entrepreneurs. The Business Development Lead for Dallas will support the Texas Market President and play a central role in expanding AltCap's impact in the Dallas Fort Worth region, specifically through the Cummins CARE program focused on serving underserved and under-resourced entrepreneurs.

Responsibilities
Lead business development efforts in the Dallas Fort Worth region to support deployment of capital through the Cummins CARE program
Source and generate new small business and microloan opportunities
Conduct outreach and engagement specifically targeting underserved and historically marginalized entrepreneurs
Support the Texas Market President with market strategy, partner coordination, and pipeline management
Build and maintain strong relationships with borrowers through consistent, proactive communication
Connect applicants with technical assistance providers and community partners when appropriate
Actively promote AltCap’s lending products and programs across DFW and Texas more broadly
Develop and implement community outreach strategies to increase visibility and loan deployment
Facilitate workshops, events, and engagements with ESOs, banking partners, chambers, and community organizations
Track outreach activity, referral partner performance, and borrower outcomes
Deliver exceptional borrower care throughout the application process
Represent AltCap at community, economic development, and entrepreneurial ecosystem events
Provide regular updates to the Texas Market President and collaborate on projects that advance regional goals
Some local travel required
Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
Commitment to AltCap's mission of expanding economic opportunity for underserved communities
Proven experience in business development, finance, small business support, community engagement, or related field IS A MUST
Strong understanding of the Dallas Fort Worth entrepreneurial ecosystem
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong relationship builder with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities
Ability to work both independently and as part of a mission driven team
Preferred
Experience working with small businesses and underserved founders highly preferred
CDFI, lending, or TA provider experience a plus
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience preferred
