Portfolio Associate

Responsibilities
Analyze portfolio performance, analytics, and attribution by utilizing tools such as Bloomberg, Aladdin and quantitative techniques
Assist portfolio managers by running risk/attribution reports versus appropriate benchmarks
Review and ensure portfolio compliance with guidelines
Work with portfolio management to establish and implement investment strategy across client portfolios using various tools to develop specific portfolio buy/sell trades affect exposure rebalancing
Support Stable Value Portfolio Construction team with reporting and analysis of book value portfolios
Respond to basic inquiries and requests for information (i.e. risk/attribution and other analytic reports) about investment strategies from marketing, RFP, product management, distribution, consultants and clients
Work with portfolio managers, the research team, the client service team, compliance and senior management to create risk and attribution and other analytical reports to present to both internal and external clients
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business or technical field (i.e. finance, accounting, economics, statistics, engineering, data science, computer science)
Ability to understand basic accounting principles and economic theory, interpret financial statements, and efficiently and effectively research, compile and analyze information
Interest in and an aptitude for learning new analytical systems and quantitative techniques
Strong technical abilities and use of Excel and experience related to computer programming
Self-starter who can work independently with minimal direction, manage multiple priorities, and manage expectations effectively
Excellent abilities in the areas of communication (verbal and written)
Collaborative with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships
Preferred
Coursework or experience related to computer programming is preferred
Knowledge of financial markets and fixed income strategies
Experience developing analytical tools and enhancing reporting and analytics workflows through automation with programming and scripting skills (e.g., Python, R, VBA) desired
Keen sense of curiosity and forward-thinking thought process desired
