Responsibilities

Own end-to-end management of the entire budget for Verkada’s legal team, including outside counsel, software, professional services, headcount, travel, and other opex

Required

3–8+ years of experience in legal operations, legal financial management, paralegal work, or a comparable in-house role with ownership of complex workflows

Deep experience with budgeting, forecasting, accruals, spend management, vendor oversight, and eBilling platforms

Strong experience with CLM and eDiscovery/legal hold tools and processes

Proven ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and move work forward without detailed instruction – coupled with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through

Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills

Familiarity with Google Workspace (including advanced use of Google Sheets for tracking, modeling, and reporting), SimpleLegal, MS 365 (specifically Word and Excel), Pigment, Logikcull, Ironclad, DocuSign, Slack, Monday, and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and systems

Comfort operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with evolving needs
