Customer Service Assistant 1 (INTERMITTENT) - Multiple
The Ohio Department of Commerce is dedicated to promoting prosperity by protecting what matters most to Ohioans. They are seeking a Customer Service Assistant to conduct searches of records, provide information to customers, and manage correspondence related to unclaimed funds.

Responsibilities
Conducts search of hardcopy or computerized records
Answers a multi-line telephone system (i.e., takes messages, refers calls, greets walk-in customers, directs and/or registers customers; furnishes printed materials or claim forms.)
Provides basic/routine information to resolve questions or complaints from internal and external customers in response to claim inquiries; provides general information concerning agency/division operations/services
Mails out correspondence and other information as necessary
Performs, as assigned, daily importing, printing and prepares for mailing Internet claim forms via the Wagers Unclaimed Property System; prepares and/or maintains reports concerning work processed, (e.g., maintains record of calls and inquiries received, and handled)
Qualification
Required
3 mos. trg. or 3 mos. exp. in office practices & procedures
1 course or 3 mos. exp. in public relations or customer service to include techniques for dealing with difficult people
1 course or 3 mos. exp. in typing, keyboarding, data entry or word processing
1 course or 3 mos. exp. in operation of personal computer
