This role involves converting 2D architectural drawings into fabrication-ready 3D models and collaborating with production teams to ensure designs are code-compliant and buildable at scale.

Responsibilities

Convert 2D architectural & structural drawings into fabrication-ready 3D models

Design residential structures using Cold-Formed / Light Gauge Steel

Generate machine-ready output for roll formers and CNC equipment

Collaborate with manufacturing to optimize takt time, machine flow, and throughput

Troubleshoot factory or field issues and adjust designs for manufacturability

Support construction teams to ensure smooth, accurate assembly on site

Required

Hands-on experience designing LGS / CFS residential structures

Experience where your designs went directly to fabrication or machines

Exposure to roll forming and/or CNC manufacturing environments

Strong understanding of design-to-manufacturing workflows

Comfort owning work all the way to factory floor execution

Preferred

FrameCAD, MWF (Metal Wood Framer), Vertex BD, Howick, or similar

Revit with LGS fabrication workflows

Background in prefab, modular, or panelized construction

Knowledge of Florida or high-wind building codes

Engineering degree (Civil, Structural, or related) or equivalent hands-on experience
