Responsibilities
Assist Project Managers with timely processing of monthly invoices, as required by client, using email and portal submissions
Maintain and follow detailed project set-up and invoicing instructions as provided by regional offices
Exhibit excellent communication skills with internal and external customers located around the globe
Review and maintain projects in Deltek Vantagepoint. Includes review of new contracts, as well as advising Project Managers on the most efficient way to set-up projects to meet client billing requirements
Provide general accounting support and partner with others in the department to ensure information is properly and timely recorded in the General Ledger
Assist in the allocation of appropriate sales tax rates by jurisdiction
Support activities to ensure that aged receivables are reviewed and followed up on monthly, so that company DSO target is achieved
Assist in the preparation of audit schedules in support of the annual external audit
Perform other duties as required
Qualification

Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and finance principles as they relate to project accounting
Strong communication and organizational skills
Strong work ethic
Self-starter and motivated to perform
Assist Project Managers with timely processing of monthly invoices

Preferred
At least 3 years of proven billing experience
Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field
Proficient in basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Must have computer literacy, including basic word processing, spreadsheet skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office software package
Intermediate-level experience with Excel preferred
Strong proficiency in billing including multiple billing formats and client specific billing requirements and pay applications
Knowledge of different currencies is also preferred
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
Experience with Deltek Vision, Vantagepoint or other project-based accounting software is a plus
Show excellent organizational skills, attention to details and ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
