Web-to-Print Graphics Technician - 2nd Shift

Belmark inc is seeking a Web-to-Print Graphics Technician to manage the flow and processing of graphic orders and artwork. The role involves working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure the accuracy and quality of print-ready files.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and electronically assemble customer supplied files based on Web-to-Print® specifications and tolerances
Review and understand technical drawings and label instructions to verify files are being set up accurately
Consult with customers on packaging designs to improve the overall appearance and printability of the customer’s design based on Web-to-Print® print specifications and tolerances. This may include preproduction meetings with the customer, external vendors or internal production personnel
Utilize proper workflows for digital file output and/or plating files when applicable
Utilize visual and electronic verification methods to ensure accuracy when proofing
Generate, review and send accurate PDF and Contract Proofs
Maintain quality workmanship within department standards
Must learn and exhibit comprehensive knowledge of BELMARK’s graphic, press and finishing capabilities for all Web-to-Print® product types
Serve as point of contact for graphic related questions by providing information directly to account services, customers, designers and sales representatives regarding BELMARK’s graphic capabilities, printing and converting capabilities, specifications and tolerances
Continually promote and educate customers on the advantages of Web-to-Print® Services
Document discussions and requests regarding projects
May do presentations and training for internal and external customers
Perform color management tasks when necessary
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Required

Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school
Knowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize the English language
Ability to read, comprehend and follow detailed written and oral instructions
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals and fractions
Ability to type accurately
Ability to operate a Macintosh/PC computer and understand appropriate design applications (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
Ability to operate a variety of standard office equipment
Ability to meet deadlines. Will be required to work some overtime
Ability to give, receive and analyze information
Must have a customer service mindset: be passionate about servicing the client, the Web-to-Print® Production Team and other BELMARK employees and departments
Must have excellent interpersonal skills
Must be self-directed, self-motivated and require minimal supervision
Must have strong organizational skills with an acute attention for detail
Must be able to communicate and answer questions in a professional and friendly manner
Must be able to resolve questions, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure

Preferred

Preferable to have two (2) years of related printing or graphics experience
Knowledge of consumer products packaging, production design and print production preferred
May require some travel
