Account Manager – B2B Digital Marketing (AI-Forward Client Success)
81 North is a B2B digital marketing agency focused on building an AI-augmented operating model. They are seeking an AI-Forward Account Manager to manage client relationships, ensure delivery excellence, and translate marketing activity into actionable insights.
Responsibilities
Own a portfolio of B2B client accounts; manage client communication, expectations, and satisfaction; translate marketing activity into outcomes and recommendations; coordinate work across strategy, production, and development teams; proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and growth opportunities; prepare client updates, recaps, and performance narratives; ensure clients feel informed and confident, even when results are still forming
AI is a required part of this role. The Account Manager will use AI tools to summarize meetings and email threads, draft client recap emails and status updates (reviewed before sending), convert project or task activity into client-ready summaries, prepare QBR outlines and performance narratives, identify trends, risks, and gaps across accounts, and reduce manual reporting and repetitive administrative work
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience in account management, client services, or customer success (agency experience strongly preferred)
strong written and verbal communication skills
ability to manage multiple clients and competing priorities
demonstrated professional use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.)
comfort explaining performance to non-technical stakeholders
high ownership mindset with strong attention to detail

CRM or analytics platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, AgencyAnalytics, etc.)
experience building workflows, templates, or SOPs using AI
