Responsibilities
Apply customer payments accurately to open invoices
Assist with customer account reconciliations and inquiries
Review, verify, and input vendor invoices into the accounting system
Match purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices
Prepare and cut manual and system-generated checks
Maintain vendor files and ensure timely payments
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Assist with accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliations during month-end close
Organize and maintain physical and digital accounting records
Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial transactions
Assist with internal audits and year-end reporting
Support other departments with financial documentation and reporting needs
Perform miscellaneous clerical and accounting tasks as required
Qualification
Required
2+ years of accounting experience in a transactional or bookkeeping role
Strong understanding of A/R and A/P processes
Experience with paper-based accounting workflows
Proficient in data entry with high attention to detail and accuracy
Working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
Comfortable working with paper files, manual check processing, and traditional office equipment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial data
Preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
