Responsibilities

Direct responsibility for plant-wide procurement operations, including direct, indirect, and capital spend. Provide guidance and leadership to Plant Procurement Specialists and Supply Chain Planners
Collaborate with value stream partners (Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Finance, etc.) to ensure procurement strategies align with plant and corporate goals
Share savings targets for plant-specific spend with Location Management, Category Management, and key stakeholders
Manage supplier sourcing, negotiations, contracting, and execution of purchase agreements to meet plant requirements
Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when issues arise
Communicate supplier issues to Procurement, Category Management, and Quality teams
Review Plant Procurement metrics and take necessary action to ensure plant and section targets are met
Ensure the procurement team maintains compliance with all auditing agencies, such as ISO and customer requirements
Ensure successful execution of ERP-related procurement processes, including system enhancements and implementations
Responsible for raw material forecasting, inventory management, cost management, and researching potential BOM issues affecting inventory accuracy
Oversee ERP item and raw material transactional activity to support inventory accuracy, including monitoring and maintaining an effective raw material cycle count program
Lead project teams and support plant procurement and supply chain initiatives
Demonstrate flexibility in managing competing priorities and balancing deadlines across the business and its partners

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business, Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, IT, Politics, Policy, Finance, Accounting, Data Science/Analytics, Marketing/Communication, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering is required
Minimum 6 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain in a heavy industry such as forging, metal-working, machining, casting, steel-making, etc
Experience in Procurement in heavy manufacturing or similar manufacturing (Aerospace, medical device, automotive)
Knowledge of procurement and financial best practices and compliance (SOX, Import/Export)
Ability to write and negotiate complex contracts for goods and services
Experience with Oracle or similar Enterprise Business Systems
Willingness to frequently visit the shop floor to gain a strong understanding of plant operations
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status

Preferred

Leadership experience preferred for candidates with minimum 6 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain in a heavy industry
