Sr. Asset Health & Predictive Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities
Support start‑ups of new PdM contracts, guiding teams through mobilization, procedures, and technical readiness
Continuously optimize PdM strategies to improve performance, uptime, and data quality for customer assets
Manage and maintain vibration online monitoring systems, ensuring accurate, standardized, and high‑quality databases
Perform high‑level diagnostic services including vibration analysis, phase analysis, motion amplification, infrared thermography (IR), ultrasound (UE), and resonance/ODS testing
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to site teams, including sensor troubleshooting and system performance reviews
Lead or support field troubleshooting on complex rotating machinery
Coach site technicians and analysts; promote continuous improvement across customer programs
Identify long‑term reliability opportunities using methodologies such as RCM, RCA, and FMEA
Assist with CMMS alignment (SAP PM, IBM Maximo) and integrate reliability data where applicable
Qualification
Required
ISO 18436‑2 Category III Vibration Analyst (Required)
Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Reliability Engineering (or equivalent experience)
Deep experience in predictive maintenance technologies: vibration, IR, UE, and oil analysis
Strong understanding of rotating equipment behavior, dynamic response, and failure mechanisms
Proficiency with vibration diagnostic software (e.g., Emerson, SKF @ptitude, Pruftechnik, Bently Nevada)
Knowledge of PdM databases, online monitoring hardware, and reliability improvement frameworks
5+ years of hands‑on vibration diagnostics in industrial environments
Background in maintenance or reliability roles in heavy industry
Skilled in rotor balancing, field corrections, and generating high‑quality diagnostic reports
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, OEM documentation, and failure reports
Proficient with MS Excel & PowerPoint for data analysis and technical communication
Willingness to participate in weekend on‑call rotation for urgent evaluations
Able to perform field inspections in industrial environments (e.g., Pulp & Paper mills)
Clear, confident communicator across all technical levels
Emotionally stable, calm under pressure, and decisive in critical situations
Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving approach
Preferred
Experience in Pulp & Paper strongly preferred
