They are seeking a highly motivated Project Designer/Project Manager with expertise in workplace and commercial interiors to lead and manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage interior design projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality
Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, goals, and project requirements, providing expert guidance and innovative solutions
Oversee all phases of project development, including conceptual design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration
Collaborate with the Principal in Charge (PIC) to identify and secure opportunities for the Practice area, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives
Coordinate and manage project teams, including architects, designers, consultants, and contractors, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment
Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, zoning laws, and regulations
Prepare and present project proposals, budgets, and schedules to clients and stakeholders
Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track
Demonstrate strong interdisciplinary capabilities, integrating both design acumen and project management expertise
Apply design and project management skills flexibly, adapting to the scale, complexity, and unique demands of each project
Collaborate across teams to ensure that creative vision and executional strategy are aligned throughout the project lifecycle
Navigate varying project scopes by balancing creative leadership with operational oversight, ensuring successful outcomes
Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and securing repeat business
Travel to project sites across the United States as required

Required

Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture, Interior Design, or a related field
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on workplace and commercial interiors
Proven track record of successfully managing projects from inception to completion
Strong understanding of design principles, construction processes, and building codes
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in design and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Project)
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Passion for and fundamental understanding of sustainable design

Preferred

CPHD, LEED and/or WELL accreditations, progress toward licensure (NCIDQ) are pluses
