Senior Multimedia Designer
Five Eighty is an independent creative company looking for a hybrid creative powerhouse to lead the visual output for their commerce media accounts. The role involves conceptualizing and executing compelling commerce ads through a blend of graphic design and motion graphics, while also mentoring a junior designer.

Responsibilities
Concept & Contextualize: Take hero assets (KVs) from the brands and conceptualize how to adapt and contextualize them for specific commerce environments (in-store screens, digital shelf, banners, etc.). You are solving the creative problem of•"How do we make this relevant to this specific shopper moment?"
Hybrid Execution (50% Motion / 50% Static): Move seamlessly between static layout and motion graphics. You must be comfortable designing complex composites in Photoshop one hour and animating them in After Effects the next
Advanced Asset Manipulation: Deep-dive into client assets (PSDs/AIs), deconstructing layers, isolating elements, and rebuilding scenes to fit new aspect ratios and narratives
Creative AI & Resourcefulness: Leverage Generative AI (Midjourney, Gemini, etc.) and stock libraries to create net-new assets or environments when photography isn't available. (e.g., •“We need this product on a snowy porch”•)
Oversight & Mentorship: Set the visual direction for campaigns and package distinct tasks for a Junior Designer to handle (e.g., resizing, versioning out), ensuring quality across the board
Qualification
Required
5+ years of agency experience as a Multimedia Designer
A portfolio that showcases strong visual thinking, sharp execution, and range across formats
Proficiency in Keynote, PowerPoint, and Google Slides
Deep design fundamentals, especially layout, typography, and visual hierarchy
Clear, confident communication, internally and with clients
Ability to self-manage in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment
Pride in execution, tight files, beautiful slides, polished work
Familiarity with regulated or CPG categories; Bev Alc experience is a plus
A collaborative, resourceful mindset and an openness to growth
The Portfolio: Your work must demonstrate high proficiency in both graphic design (layout, typography, composition) and motion graphics (timing, easing, VFX). Portfolios with only static work or only video editing will not be considered
Expert Technical Chops: Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro)
AI Fluency: Demonstrated experience using AI tools as part of a professional workflow to enhance creative output (Gemini, Midjourney, Higgsfield, Claude, etc.)
Concepting Ability: You can take a loose request and turn it into a polished visual concept without needing a storyboard handed to you
Commerce/Agency Experience: You understand that the creative needs to drive conversion within the context of its placement
