Accounting & Payroll Specialist
CFS is a well-established company in Kern County seeking an Accounting & Payroll Specialist to support day-to-day accounting functions and payroll processing. The role involves processing payroll, maintaining records, supporting accounts payable and receivable, and handling payroll tax filings.
Responsibilities
Process payroll accurately and on time (hourly and salaried employees)
Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with wage and hour regulations
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Assist with reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close
Handle payroll tax filings, deductions, and benefit contributions
Partner with HR on employee setup, changes, and terminations
Respond to payroll and accounting inquiries with professionalism
Qualification
Required
Experience in accounting and payroll
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
