Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center Program Manager

The Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center Program Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient stroke performance improvement initiatives, coordinating activities across departments to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
Support stroke program development, outreach, and performance improvement initiatives
Lead interdisciplinary teams and coordinates meetings, documentation, and performance improvement activities
Collaborate with stakeholders to reduce risk and promote high-reliability stroke care
Lead Joint Commission certification and recertification preparation and serves as on-site point person
Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, AHA/ASA, and other regulatory standards in partnership with the Program Medical Director
Develop and update evidence-based stroke policies and procedures across service lines
Analyze and synthesize data to track outcomes, trends, and required registry metrics
Coordinate education and professional development for continuum-of-care providers
Collaborate with referring facilities and transport teams to ensure safe transitions of care
Participate in enterprise-wide initiatives supporting Neurological Institute goals
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Registered Nurse with strong clinical background in acute care and/or ambulatory care
Bachelor's of Nursing Science (BSN)
Current state licensure as an RN
Certification in NIHSS within 90 days of hire
Stroke Certified RN or other certification pertinent to role within 2 years of hire
Recommend successful completion of continuous improvement training (example: 6Sigma or SolVE) within 2 years of hire
3 years of experience with appropriate patient population
Preferred
Master's Degree
Previous Stroke Center or program management
