KMBC Studio Productions Intern
Hearst Newspapers is a leading broadcasting company, and they are seeking an intern for their KMBC 9 / KCWE 29 Internship Program. The role involves hands-on experience in studio productions, including learning technical aspects of live news broadcasts and assisting with various production tasks.

Responsibilities
Camera shot composition
Shot sequencing
Controlling robotic camera pedestals
Pre-production planning
Preparing for lighting, backdrops, and props
Prepare, distribute and place microphones used in live broadcast
Set up audio board for all audio sources and mix minus
Staff coordination
Operation of automated studio production system. Learning coding for all elements of a newscast, including live studio cameras, live remotes, graphics and video playback systems
Provide creative input and will work with the newscast producer and production crew
Be responsible for clean technical execution of the look of the newscast
Experience with ENPS, VIZRT graphics and Bitcentral video playback will be helpful
Qualification
Required
Comfortable with height
Able to lift light equipment
Work non-traditional hours
Attend orientation on the first day
Plan to work three days a week, eight hours each shift with varying schedules
Check in with assigned advisor upon entering the building
Provide a cover letter with application including preferred session, available start and end dates, and days and hours available to intern

Experience with ENPS
Experience with VIZRT graphics
Experience with Bitcentral video playback
