Structural Engineer - Transportation

Responsibilities
Lead the structural design of projects from concept through construction
Mentor junior staff and performing quality control reviews of structural deliverables
Collaborate with colleagues and embracing JT’s values and culture
Communicate effectively internally and externally
Perform quality work within established guidelines
Assist with the management of project budgets
Interpret and adhering to internal Quality Control processes
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
A Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Wisconsin or ability to obtain PE within 6 months of hire
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Mathcad, RISA, LEAP Bridge, MDX, Eriksson Culvert and other comparable structural design software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Technical competence to perform project tasks independently
Knowledge of client and internal software required to complete projects
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to worksites, meetings with clients, and attend conferences
To be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, restrictions, or need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located
To occasionally travel out-of-town and overnight for professional development and/or project-related work
Preferred
Familiarity with the WisDOT, AASTHO, ASCE, NDS, AISC, and other structural design codes
